Summary: Provides direct care and supervision to residents of emergency shelter or transitional living program, to include oversight of medications, chores, schoolwork and support of personal goal plan attainment.
Qualifications: High School diploma/GED, Demonstrated commitment to youth, Ability to maintain resident confidentiality, Experience in a residential setting preferred, Valid NYS driver's license free of violation marks for preceding three years and provide evidence of appropriate insurance coverage, Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities: Supervises and interacts with residents throughout the shift supervising their daily routines, assist with homework as needed, Make sure all residents are accounted for, Follow-up on assigned household chores and supervises chore completion, coordinates and implements recreation activities with residents, Assists in preparation of meals in conjunction with residents, Monitors and enforces house rules compliance, assists in implementation of daily schedule, Transports residents when needed to school, work and appointments, Conducts cleaning and maintenance duties when needed, Communicates with on-call staff when necessary, Provides appropriate intervention to quell potential crisis, Perform assigned tasks as directed by supervisor, Record keeping as needed |
